This charming little bowl features a slip panel incised with the motto 'Hungers guid kitchen'. Although unmarked, from research into very similar bowls we believe this bowl was made in the Cumnock Pottery in Ayrshire. They started making 'Scottish Motto Ware' pottery in 1830 and they ceased production in 1920, unfortunately as there are no marks on the piece it's impossible to date it accurately.
It measures approx. 2.25" in height, 5" in diameter at its widest point and weighs 282g.
It is in quite good used condition, there are two small chips to the edge of the base and crazing to the glaze, most noticeably the darker lines in the bowl itself (see close ups of all photos for detail).
