This attractive Edwardian Oil Lamp features a decorative gilded iron base with a brass font. The shade (not original) is frosted glass with a clear glass decoration of flowers and foliage. The lamp has a double burner with the wick winder buttons each marked BEST BRITISH MAKE F.
The underside of the base is impressed with the registration number 371227 denoting it to be circa 1902 in date and the makers mark F.S & Co. Ltd. indicating that it was made by Falk, Stadelmann & Co. Ltd.
The lamp measures approx. 22.5" / 57 cm in height (including the chimney), 7" / 18 cm in width (the shade) and weighs 2.3kg
The shade has a few small chips / nibbles to the base and the chimney has paint strokes on one side (see photos)
