This item is a mug produced to commemorate the coronation of King George VI on May 12th 1937. It features an elaborate image on one side with pictures depicting King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, the reverse side has a coat of arms style design featuring the date of the coronation.

The mug measures approx. 3.25" in height and 4" in diameter (Including the handle).

It is in quite good used condition with no cracks or signs of repair. The mug is a creamier colour than appears in the photos. There is extensive crazing to the glaze which is only really noticeable close to under light and the gilt has worn from the rim and handle. There are also a couple of dark rough spots in the base of the mug (see photos)
